Food scrap recycling is now being made available. This long awaited program is being brought online in phases. Beginning April 1st, Woodbury and Oakdale residents will be able to recycle food scraps.
How do you do this?
2.) Collect your food scraps in the special green bag.
3.) Tie the green bag shut with a simple knot at the top and place the bag in your TRASH cart.
How does it get recycled?
Special robotic arms recognize and separate the green food waste bags from other trash.
Simple! Just remember the special food scrap bags go with the trash weekly. They should not be put in the recycling cart. Also, it is very important you place just food scraps in the special green bags. DO NOT put trash in the food scrap bags.
